A 52 year old male is brought to your clinic on the back of a motorcycle late in the day, after he was found stumbling at work. He is wheezing and speaking in 3-4 word sentences. You learn from his coworker that he often has wheezes, especially during the rainy season. He states that he has been more and more short of breath over the last 4 days and recently has been having chills. He has been coughing up dark yellow phlegm.
He has no known medical history and takes no medications.
You first assess his Airway which is clear.
Next, you listen to his Breathing and notice that there is wheezing throughout both of his lungs. He is breathing quickly. Furthermore, you hear crackles in the right lung.
